If you are a vegan blogger or just a blogger who is vegan, you’re welcome to join the UKVB community.
There are no rules as to whether you qualify based on if you blog about it or not on your site, we understand not everyone’s readership is suitable. All we ask is that you are an active member of the community.
How To Be An Active Member
Nothing is compulsory but to be part of the community we ask that you:
- Share other member’s content; Facebook posts, blog posts, YouTube videos etc.
- Contribute to the UKVB website. This can be a blog post, a recipe, a video, an illustration or anything else vegan related. It must be unique for the site though, we don’t accept duplicate content.
- Share opportunities where you can. If you have a brand/company looking for a collaboration and they’re looking for more bloggers then offer it to the community or pass on our details so we can organise it.
- Just generally be a kind, polite and accepting of others within the community.
How To Join
The main part of the community, besides this website, is the Facebook group. This is exclusive to UKVB community members only. To join simply fill out this Google Form and follow the instructions.
If you meet the requirements, so basically are a UK blogger who is vegan/vegetarian, you’ll be added to the group where you can interact with other members, share your posts and learn about opportunities.
Contribute To The Site
We welcome submissions from bloggers, non-bloggers and brand/companies. For more information, head to the “Contribute” page. Here you can see what we’d like from our guest posters and have the option to submit your own post.
Each community member will be offered a “Blogger Bio” spot on the website. This is an interview style post and includes links back to your own website. we encourage all community members to fill out the questionnaire, add an image (or two) and share the post once it has gone live. Here is an example: Blogger Bio: ChammyIRL – UKVB Founder
It allows all our readers to get to know the bloggers behind the blogs a little better, and provide tasty linkbacks to your site (all the DA).
If you’d like to show support for the UK Vegan Bloggers page and let your followers know that you are part of the community you can add a UKVB badge to your website. Simply copy the code that is in the box and paste it to your website, in a widget or directly into a post – it’s up to you.
This badge is 250px x 250px but badges can be customised to any size so if this size isn’t suitable for your website then let us know and we’ll send you a custom sized badge.
Once everything is up and running there will be a weekly linky post go up. This will give you the opportunity to post any recent posts for everyone to see, it’ll also be open to non-UKVB members so if you’ve posted a vegan/vegetarian post make sure you pop by and add it to the linky.
We ask that you include the following sentence within your post, including the links, and visit at least three other posts to leave a comment. Chammy will visit each and every post to leave a comment herself.
“I’m taking part in this week’s vegan/vegetarian link up with Chammy and Aaron from the UK Vegan Bloggers community. A weekly “linky” where other bloggers share their new vegan/vegetarian posts. Make sure you pop over to UKVB to see what other bloggers are sharing this week.”
If you have any questions about being part of the UK Vegan Bloggers community then please ask. Drop us an email or a message on any social media channel (all the links are at the top of the website).
